Job Description: The Parts Testing Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the full functionality of inventoried Ultrasound parts. In addition, the Parts Testing Engineer will perform ultrasound part testing validation and troubleshooting. They will properly diagnose all system and part issues and help identify areas of repair where needed. The Parts Testing Engineer will possess a detailed system knowledge of ultrasound functionality, and the ability to correctly validate part functionality across multiple Ultrasound models and manufacturers. The Parts Testing Engineer will also assist, technical phone support, parts identification, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Duties:

  • Validates system and part functionality through proven test procedures.
  • Proper identifies all failures, if applicable
  • Maintains clean and organized workstation.
  • Follows and adheres to all Probo Medical and OSHA safety policies and regulations.
  • 100% ESD compliance when handling parts
  • Successfully troubleshoots all issues of systems/parts, resolving issues in a timely
  • manner.
  • Ability to install software application programs.
  • Manages tools and repair inventory needs.
  • Manages system test bed fleet, ensuring all test equipment is proper logged and
  • maintained according to ISO 13485 standards.
  • Assists in part packaging/proper labeling if needed.
  • Must be comfortable assisting/researching/solving technical questions over phone.
  • Must be able to validate and confirm ultrasound part numbers using manuals, online
  • resources, etc.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Associates Degree or a combination of education and relative experience
  • 2-3 years in an ultrasound field service, ultrasound repair, or service support
  • environment.
  • 3 rd party medical device testing/repair experience a plus
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot/diagnose electrical and mechanical failures.
  • Proven ability to read and understand schematics and OEM manuals.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Solid verbal and written communications skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus
  • Experience with customer technical support a plus
  • Experience in ISO certification(s) and document writing a plus.

Job Description: The Component Repair Engineer plays a crucial role ensuring our medical imaging parts inventory is properly repaired, tested, and validated to their original specifications. The Component Repair Engineer is a highly specialized role where you will be asked to repair a multiple of medical imaging parts from multiple manufactures and modalities, including but not limited to, electronic boards, power supplies, monitors, user interfaces, etc. The Component Repair Engineer will also be asked to perform part number validations, technical assistance to our field engineers and customer service, in addition to properly logging workflows in our system.

Job Duties:


Quality/Safety

  • 100% ESD compliance when handling/repairing parts
  • Properly validates repairs through validated system and/or bench testing
  • Performs secondary quality checks on repaired/tested parts
  • Performs customer warranty validation through proper testing/evidence finding
  • Properly documents results/findings on tested/repaired parts in ERP system
  • Follows and adheres to all Probo Medical and OSHA safety policies and regulations

Repair Operations

  • Proven ability to solder/de-solder
  • Advanced knowledge of electronics theory
  • Ability to troubleshoot/test on multiple imaging manufacturers and models
  • Knowledge of and experience with electronic test equipment
  • Meets daily repair targets
  • Meets new repair development targets
  • Manages tools and repair inventory needs
  • Properly follows repair priority process

Technical Support:

  • Must be comfortable assisting/researching/solving technical questions over phone
  • Must be able to validate and confirm part numbers in Salesforce using manuals,
  • online resources, etc.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Associates Degree in Electronics or a combination of education and relative
  • experience
  • 2-3 years in a component level repair environment, 3rd party an component repair a
  • plus
  • Proven repair track record
  • Proven ability to read and understand schematics
  • Must be able to pass a basic electronics test
  • Experience with medical imaging systems, specifically ultrasounds a plus
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus
  • Experience with customer technical support a plus
  • Experience in ISO certification(s) and document writing a plus
